Shooting is an excellent mental discipline and we cheerfully fly in the face of the so called Political Correctness lobby by regularly teaching young people to handle guns safely, to shoot well and to enjoy doing it. We're restricted to using rifles now of course, since the government in its infinite wisdom saw fit to take our pistols away from us. Needless to say this did not have the promised effect of reducing firearm related crime in the slightest and just recently the same government shamelessly announced that the rate of crime involving illegally held handguns was now higher than it has ever been. So having admitted the failure of that policy, can we have our pistols back please Mr Blair? Sorry, I was hoping to keep this web site cheerful and light-hearted but contrary to popular belief there are ways to get a Taurean agitated and mindless bureaucracy is up there with the best of them. If you've never fired a gun, well, it's not the end of the world but I'm a firm believer in trying everything life offers you and I for one have gained a great deal from shooting over the years.
