This is not too surprising when you think of how much universe there is to search in and even less surprising when you think how infrequently you find any intelligence on this bloody planet either.

I've been contributing to this effort (along with more than five million others) for a while by allowing my spare PC capacity (I've got quite a bit of this) to be used for processing signals collected by the Arecibo telescope in Puerto Rico. This is achieved by downloading a piece of software from the link below. 

The results soon mount up, I've recently worked my way into the top two percent of contributors.
