to the south-west the historic city of Bristol. (Although not being a city-boy I try not to go there too often, the city may be historic but the traffic certainly isn't).

Meandering through the area is the River Frome. It seems that wherever you go between here and Bristol city centre the Frome is there too, Most of the local villages and suburbs have a bridge or two over it.
